So, my UrbanOG order didn't arrive today. We'll have to wait for that post until Monday evening. But, I did get a little bored tonight, so I decided to try out the winter white nail polish from Essie.

A homemade French manicure? Sure, why not! I'm not super into nail polish, so this was my first try doing this. I think it came out alright. I'm pleased. =)

Polka dots on my big toe! It's cute. I think it may look a bit childish, but my hubs loves it!

Until next time fashionistas...xoxox

Hello lovelies! =) I hope you all had a wonderful day. A couple of goodies showed up on my door step this morning, so I thought I'd share.

I took advantage of the ShoeDazzle BOGO sale (now the Triple Threat sale, going on until the 31st)...who can resist a good sale?! Not I!

ShoeDazzle's Ruby (in red)
Pretty much anything with spikes catches my attention. Ruby was no exception, but I normally don't spend $40 on flats. I was excited when I saw she was added to the BOGO sale, so then I couldn't resist. Based on reviews, I went up a 1/2 size. I should have gone up a full size. These babies are TIGHT. The 8.5 fits more like a 7.5. Seeing as they're from the BOGO sale, all sales are final. I'm going to have to really stretch them out. They are quite nice though. The quality is great and none of the spikes were missing (ShoeDazzle shoes are notorious for missing hardware), so I suppose all is well. I'm now considering Ruby in aqua, so if I decide to get them, I'll make sure to get a 9 this time.

ShoeDazzle's Elle (in turquoise)
Elle is such a beautiful shoe! She is TTS, the quality is great, and she's fairly comfortable for being so tall. Elle is my first turquoise shoe (even though turquoise is one of my favorite colors) and I couldn't be happier! I wish I hadn't waited so long to grab these...but being 1/2 off was definitely a perk. I wish I had gotten Elle in black before she sold out. Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the reviews! Keep an eye out for my upcoming post. I purchased a pretty vintage inspired dress and I'm waiting on cute black t-straps from UrbanOG to pair it with! Goodnight, fashionistas! xoxox

I'd like to start off this blogging experience by sharing some of my most favorite footwear with you. These are the ones I could put on and stare at for hours. (List is in no particular order.)

JustFab's Maggie (in white)
Maggie is everything you could want in a shoe. She's gorgeous, versatile, and comfortable. I was so sad when Maggie in grey became out of my reach, but thrilled when I learned she would return in white! To be honest, when I first got these beauties I was a bit disappointed. She's not exactly the true white she was described to be. She's more of an off-white. But...I quickly got over my disappointment and grew to love her through and through. She really is just so ME!

JustFab's Janna (in leopard)
I grabbed these babies from the BOGO sale. I wasn't too sure about the style but decided to try them out. I instantly fell in love when I opened the box. The quality and beauty is superb. Within the first hour of wearing them, I realized that these were shoes I could wear for several hours without feeling any pain. The heel is perfect...not too tall, not to small. The cushion in them is so soft and supportive. It wasn't long before Janna jumped into my heart and became a favorite. Even though I'm more of a "leopard" girl than a "zebra" one, I'm super bummed that I missed out on zebra Janna!

Iron Fist's Race With The Devil
A sole sister shared this photo and as soon I saw them, I knew they had to be mine. I also knew that the hubs could never resist getting me a hot rod inspired heel. They represent perfectly what we're about. The amazing pinstriping...the sleek chrome heel...the clever Mexican blanket insoles...the cute little dice hanging from the back...these were perfect. With only five pair left in my size on Amazon, the hubs snatched them up for my birthday. These will be a nice touch with a pinup dress on a car show day!

JustFab's Selma (in black)
Selma never seemed to drawn much attention. She's definitely more of a casual, everyday shoe. I had her on my wishlist for awhile, but always chose something else. I couldn't quite commit. I had a couple of credits and decided to give Selma a try. Well, it's obvious that I'm glad I did! I went up from an 8 to an 8.5 based on the reviews I read. She fits perfectly and is extremely comfortable. The Mary Jane style paired with the cute retro strawberry and polka dot print is a match made in shoe heaven!

JustFab's Makeeda (in black)
Makeeda has to be THE most classic shoe on JustFab. It seems like every one of my sole sisters has Makeeda (in any of her four beautiful colors). Makeeda was one of my first JustFab purchases and the one to make me fall...hard. (In love, that is.) Bows and spikes make me swoon. Sexy with a hint of rock-n-roll. A recipe to one of my favorite, most comfortable shoes!
So here I am again. Trying this thing called blogging. I've been a bit inspired by all of the blogs I've been visiting lately. Blogs written by girls after my very own heart. Fellow fashionistas. These girls know their fashion. They're witty, honest, and just down right fabulous. I hope to create something even half as awesome as the blogs they have expertly created. Here's a shout out to Andi, Kat, Chanda, and Emily!

Just to give you folks an idea of who I am...The photo below inspired me to choose High Heels & Hot Rods as the name of my blog. I'm very much into vintage fashion and can't help but get chills when I see the gorgeous sight of a gorgeous, old car.

So join me (please?) on this retro journey to a land we call Fashionista Island!
